Young West Australians Shannon May, Sarah Carroll and Thia Eastman have committed to Perth Glory's premiership defence in Season 8.

The trio's addition brings Perth's squad numbers to 7 players with Matildas Sam Kerr, Caitlin Foord and Mackenzie Arnold all returning while defender Kim Carroll replaces the departing Alanna Kennedy.

"We are building for a new season ahead and I'm pleased with the talent we have on board," said coach Bobby Despotovski.

"We've still got a few more exciting players to announce and that will come in due course."

Lining up for her 7th season with Perth, defensive midfielder May will form part of Perth's new look midfield following the retirement of Collette McCallum and Gabe Marzano's return to her home state Queensland.

Meanwhile former Young Matildas defender Sarah Carroll will look to build on her strong season at right back for the Glory with central defender Thia Eastman aiming to bring herself into contention for regular game time in the defence.

As with many sides, Perth Glory have already commenced pre-season training with the defending premiers opening their season against Melbourne Victory at Lakeside Stadium on 17 October 2015.
