New Newcastle Jets head coach Craig Deans announced six players returning players for the upcoming W-League season.

Co-captain Tara Andrews, goalkeeper Claire Coelho, striker Rhali Dobson, defender Georgia Yeoman-Dale and young duo Libby Copus-Brown and Cassidy Davis will once again line up for Deans' side in the 8th season of the W-League.

The second highest capped Jets player, the experienced Andrews returns for an 8th season with Newcastle and after a stellar off-season in the USL W-League where she earned Most Valuable Player honours,  she will be a key to the Jets' campaign for a finals position.

“I’m looking forward to building on last season," said Andrews.

"We were so close to making the Semi Finals, so I’d like to get one better and make the Semis and then anything can happen from there.”

Dobson shared the title of leading goal scorer for the Jets Women with Andrews last season and is expected to continue to fire up front as the Jets look to build on last year’s 5th place finish.

Coelho, Copus-Brown and Davis return for their third season, while Yeoman-Dale has signed on for a second after making the move from Canberra United to debut with the Newcastle Jets for Season 2014.

The signings are welcome news in an off-season that is set to see key figures absent from the Jets' rise last season.

Co-captain and Julie Dolan Medallist Emily van Egmond will spend the season with German powerhouse FFC Frankfurt, former Matilda Amber Neilson appears to be entering back into retirement, while stalwart Hayley Crawford suffered a horrific ankle break in the recent NSW Women's Premier League final ruling her out for the season.

Meanwhile the Jets' American contingent are also slim chances to return, although Newcastle are looking for replacements.
