Forward Chloe Logarzo has been named the USL W-League Rookie of the Year in their end of season awards.

For Logarzo, who played for new Western Conference side Colorado Pride, it was the latest in a number of accolades received this week including being named in the Western Conference and All Conference Teams of the Year.

"Being named Rookie of the Year is so overwhelming, so unexpected and such an honour," Logarzo told The Women's Game from the US.

"While it is great to get an individual award, this also a recognition of the great team who have been a big part of this."

In their inaugural season, the Pride, who also featured Newcastle Jets duo Tara Andrews and Ashley Spina, finished second in the Western conference and pushed defending USL W-League Champions LA Blues all the way in the conference title decider.

Only playing nine matches, the 19 year old finished the season with 6 goals, 7 assists (3rd in the competition)  and 19 points (4th in the competition).

Although Australians like Katrina Gorry, Brooke Spence and Emily Gielnik have previously been nominated for the end of season awards, Logarzo is the first winner of an USL W-League award.

"I am very proud of our season and I have learned so much from all the other players and Dan."

Pride coach and fellow Australian Daniel Clitnovic was also recognised for his season with the debutante side as he was named the Coach of the Year.

In its 20th year, the USL W-League is the well respected, and long running, second tier of women's football in the North America (behind the NWSL) and consists of 25 team across 4 conferences; central, northeastern, southeastern and western.

After a short break Logarzo returns to the W-League where the Young Matildas captain will push for greater playing time with  Sydney FC.
